Dr. Diaz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a highly proficient gastroenterologist. Dr. Diaz earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Thereafter, he completed his Gastroenterology fellowship training also at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

During his tenure at the University of Miami, Dr. Diaz was honored with selections as both Chief Internal Medicine Resident and Chief Gastroenterology Fellow. Dr. Diaz has expertise in managing a wide array of esophageal, gastro-intestinal, colonic, liver, pancreatic, gallbladder and biliary diseases. Furthermore, he is a skilled endoscopist who performs procedures including upper endoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy, colonoscopy, and percutaneous gastrostomy tube placement.
